Brale is built on the belief that stablecoins are for everyone. We're doubling down on that notion with the introduction of individual accounts.
Brale customers can now create and manage accounts for their end users directly on Brale.
This makes it possible to build consumer-facing experiences on top of Brale's regulated stablecoin infrastructure, without splitting your product across separate systems for business and consumer users.
Individual accounts are designed to feel familiar if you have worked with the Brale API before. They work with the same tools and workflows you already use for business accounts, and they are built for high-volume onboarding and ongoing lifecycle management.
What this enables
Individual accounts let a business create and manage accounts for its own end customers on Brale.
That unlocks workflows like:
Cross-border payment apps that need to onboard individual recipients and move value programmatically.
Wallet experiences that require compliant onboarding and programmable rails.
Marketplaces and platforms seeking to manage end-user payout destinations and automated flows.
Brale now supports both U.S. and foreign individuals, significantly expanding the addressable user base for platforms building on Brale.
How individual accounts work
An individual account gives you one place to manage identity, destinations, and money movement.
A typical flow looks like this:
- 1
Create an individual account
Call
POST /accountsand provideentity_typeto indicate the account is for an individual. - 2
Complete onboarding and verification
Brale runs individual verification under the applicable model defined by your service agreement to make onboarding smooth while still meeting regulated requirements.
- 3
Connect destinations and move money
Individual accounts can be used with addresses, transfers, and automations, so funds movement can be configured and operated programmatically.
For more details, see Brale's developer docs for individual accounts.
Three dimensions, one endpoint
Individual accounts extend Brale's existing account model, rather than introducing a separate product or new endpoint.
When you create an account, three fields define how it works:
entity_type: Who the account is for (business or individual).
account_type: Custody model (custodial or transactional).
verification_mode: How identity is established (standard, reliance, bypass).
This keeps integrations stable. If you already use Brale, adding individual accounts is an extension, rather than a redesign.
What's live, and what's coming
Individual accounts launched as transactional accounts, meaning Brale does not hold custodial wallet balances for them.
That came as a response to customer demand for high-volume onboarding and end-user money movement.
Individual custodial accounts are not far behind, with a planned September debut.
